GKTW Carousel

We really enjoyed the carousel at Give Kids the World. This beautiful ride was brought over from Holland. It sits under the mushroom next to the Castle of Miracles, and is handicapped accessible.

The snail that I am riding is an example of this. The floor of the snail is level with the floor of the carousel, so a child in a wheelchair can wheel into it and buckle in for a great ride. The carousel is open all day, so many times after the girls finished breakfast, they would head over for a ride. Alex and I would enjoy a few minutes alone while he finished his coffee. One particular morning, Ali came running up to me asking for the camera. She wanted to get a picture of Mayor Clayton riding the carousel. It is such a simple ride, but the girls rode it almost every day and really enjoyed it!
