There were many times where we met some unusual volunteers on the GKTW campus. This sweet volunteer was from New York and she had with her a special volunteer named Charlie. Charlie was a stuffed monkey, complete with his own name tag, who met the kids and made them smile.
We also met many dogs who walked around with their owners and met the kids. All the dogs were very comfortable with the kids hovering around them and petting them. These dog owners usually lived in the area and would bring their dogs to the campus just for the kids. The kids loved seeing the dogs and it really brightened up their day.
